Hallsville Intermediate School

You may view your child’s current attendance at any time through your Family Access account at family.hisd.com using the login information you used during registration.

Students are allowed a maximum of five (5) excused absences per semester with a parent note. These notes must be submitted within three (3) school days of the student’s return. Notes submitted after the deadline will not be accepted, and the absence will be marked unexcused.

Attendance is taken every period at the Intermediate. Students arriving late or leaving early will be marked absent for the periods missed. All absences—full or partial day—require documentation to be excused. Missing more than 20 minutes of a class without valid documentation results in an absence for that class.

Parents are responsible for monitoring student attendance. Students are subject to compulsory attendance laws under TEC Section 25.093(b). A student who receives excessive unexcused absences within a six-month period may be considered truant.

• Official Attendance Time: 10:12
• Dismissal Bell: 3:30

Please note: No transportation changes after 2:30 PM, and no checkouts after 3:00 PM without administrator approval.
